Woke up at 7:15 am. I am so excited, today is my BIG ultrasound. Got ready for my appointment. At round 7:45 I was ready to leave with my very large cup of water. Why I have to drink so much water is beside me. Then, I have to hold it. Hopefully, they are running on time the doctor's office, or else I will be crying. Right before I left, I remembered to post on PW about my appointment, so I ran back to room to post. I'm such an addict! LOL. We stopped over at Walgreens to purchase a VHS tape, but unfortunately, weren't able to use. Doctor's office wouldn't allow the recording of the u/s. GRRR! We made to the office on time, we waited for a bit, like 20 minute. And that wonderful tech came out and called my name. Oh, thank God, I was starting to feel the pressure on the pee. I sat back on the chair, she jelled me up, and started the u/s. And there was my baby, healthy and moving about. She asked if we wanted to know the sex, I think I answered before she could finish the sentence, "Yes". Baby had its legs crossed, being so shy!! The tech shock my belly and baby opened up! Its a ____. C'mon you didn't really think I was really going to tell you. You should know me better by now, you'll have to wait till May 8th, just like the rest. The tech said baby looks very good and healthy. The only discretion is that my placenta is low lying. She said we'd have to come back for another u/s later, just mak sure all is well. She also mentioned that low lying placentas are normal at this stage. I went searching on the internet and it states that 20-30% placentas are low lying. Most move up by the third trimester. Let's keep our finger crossed. I will post new baby pics soon.

LOL, I have been telling everyone I will be having my u/s tommorow, but won't be annoucing the sex until May 8th, Mother's Day. Everyone thinks pretty unfair that I am making them wait. Hey it's my baby, my desicion!! Beside this baby will be 1st baby, grandchild, great grandchild, and great great grandchild. So, we have to make it special! Many people say boy and a few rebels say girl. Pink dusties to me. LOL My mother told me if it comes out a girl, before you leave the hospital make sure the swap it for a BOY. She was just kidding of course, but she does want a lil grandson badly! Cooperate baby, open wide for mommy to see!

Baby has gotten into the habit of kicking mommy!!! Baby is under the impression that my uterus is a playground and my bladder is a bouncy ball. I am super exciting that baby is moving around constantly. Figuring baby's sleep hours has been pretty easy. Baby sleeps for about 1-3 hours at a time, wakes up and wiggles, moves, and kicks! LOL I can't wait until my ultrasound next Monday to see what baby is! This week is going to go by so slowly! GRRR. Edddie very sure that baby is a boy. I tease him, saying it's a girl, but he is so sure. If you ask me, I want a girl, but will be happy either way, as long as baby is healthy.

Forgot to post about my wonderful weeked. Most of the time I am stuffed at home and weekends are even more boring than the weekdays. So, I decided we needed to get out a bit and enjoy the few months left before baby gets here. We ended up going up North to Tampa to visit my aunt. Tampa is about a four hour drive from where I live, although my aunts swears she can make it in 3 hrs. LOL We were suppose to leave Friday afternoon, but DH, couldn't get out of work early, by the time we had everything ready to go it was to late to drive up. So, we opted to leave Saturday around 4am. Yeah, right!!! I woke up at 7am and scrambled for our things and headed out the door. We arrived in Tampa around 1pm. I needed directions to the house, som I phoned my aunt, no service. AHHH, I didn't know which exit to get off on. YIKES, we got a little lost. By the time we got all settled at her house it was so late he decided to leave the water park for Sunday, before we drove back home. Woke up pretty late on Sunday, arrived at the water park at noon. I figured I would at least enjoy one ride, bad idea!!! Got on the ride (btw I saw another pregnant woman get on too) Pretty safe, quite nice and went to another ride. I sent DH and his sis, this ride looked way steep. As I was sitting on a bench waiting for them to come down, I started having a contraction. I said to myself "ok, no more rides for mommy" I told DH and he is was so cute, so concerned. To soothe my contraction we went on the lazy river, floated for a while, I felt better after a bit. DH and his sis went on all the rides, I watched. Though, a bit dull, it was nice just to get out of the house for a change. :-) Today, was my little cousin's birthday, his mom had a surprise party planned. I was pretty bummed that I couldn't stay for his party, but we had a long drive ahead of us. Happy Birthday TONY!!!!

My Friday appointment was postponed until today, not surprising!! It was my 3rd appointment, it went rather quickly, but as always the doctor was running late. You'd figure if you get an appointment time they could honor the time. Arrrggghh!!! So, I waited about 30 minutes before my name was called. Then, the moment of truth, hopped on the scale, 8 lbs up. OMG, it was a bit upsetting. I'm right where I need to be on the weight, but the doctor didn't agree. So, I will be cutting back a bit. Just going to try not to eat to late and get a bit of exercise in. I was directed to one of the rooms and within 5 mins the doc came in. Looked for the heartbeat, he found it right away. It sounded nice and strong, way louder than it was the first few times I had heard it before. Well, as you can remember I had an u/s done around March 15th, well the doctor recieved the report and was reading the results to me. Everything seemed fine until the due date part. The doctor said, "Your due date has changed to October 5th", I shocked I said, "no, i'm going to be 18 weeks this Wednesday, and i'm due the 14th" needless to say he was frazzled. He took out his handy chart and calculated the number, surely enough the report was wrong. By a whole MONTH. They were suppose to write Sept. 5th. not October. Phew. "You're right!" he said, then penciled me in for the 13th. His wife and I are due around the same time, too funny! I hope I go before she does. Can you image both of us going into labor at the same time. CHAOS!!!

I have been feeling horrible lately. I always pictured pregnancy as such a wonderful state, except for the last months and labor. Guess I was exceptionally wrong. My tummy is growing at such an incredible rate, it is worrying me. The upper part of my tummy is very hard, making difficult to lay, eat, and even bend. I'm trying to adjust to the change, but I am so uncomfortable. The only thing I am comfortable doing is moaning and rolling in bed. Oh, Lord, help me. I was telling DH, "take this day and multiply it by 10 and that will be me at 8 months. To top it off, all my joints are hurting, due to lack of water. Which I haven't drank as much, because I am so bloated. OUCH! Back, shoulders, and sciatica!!!! AHHHHHHHHHH! I hope I get some relief soon.

I am little worried, the baby hasn't been moving much in the last 2 days. I know I shouldn't freak out, but I can't help but worry. Sometimes, I feel little movements, but nothing too big to calm my anxiety. I have an appointment on Friday, hopefully baby will get moving before then. *Fingers crossed* On Monday, I will be going in for genetic blood testing, on Friday Dr. Sarduey, will have my result and see if we have to go in for amnio testing. I'm so not looking forward to that if I have to have the procedure. I have to ask the Dr. if we can opt for the level 2 u/s instead of the amnio. That huge needle freaks me out. The risk are low, but no risk are better odds for me. "C'mon baby move for mommy!!!"

Today, at 9:37am (2:37pm EST) Pope John Paul II, passed on, at the age of 84. Many medical complications attributed to his death. I am not a catholic, but am sadden by his death. When such a public figure passes on it doesn't go unnoticed. I hope he had a peaceful passing.

Baby has become way more active!!! DH and I were a friend's house and when our friend began to speak baby wiggled a bunch. From the left to right. It's the absolute most amazing feeling ever. I can finally say "I am pregnant" and know it. It was kinda frustrating to not having any signs that I was pregnant.

Today was our 6th wedding anniversary. I tried for weeks to find something or somewhere to go reasonably priced, but no luck. We are trying to save as much money as possible since baby will here not to long from now and i'm sure their will be tons of expenses. So, we opted to stay home had a nice chinese dinner (sushi). I looked up sushi during pregnancy and aparently california rolls are ok. :-) Yum had a cali roll and some soup watch a DVD and cuddled up. It was nice.
